FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: 4-(hydroxyalkyl)-phenols of the formula 4-[-CH(R)(CH)CH(CH(R)-OH]-CH-OH where: R, R- H or CH,; n = 0-2 were synthesized by heating at 270-330 C the compounds of the formula 2-C(CH), 6-R, 4-[-CH(R)(CH)CH(R)-OH]-CH-OH where: R- H or C(CH)and Rand R- as indicated above. Synthesized compounds were used for synthesis of biologically active substances (adaptogens) and intermediate compounds for drug synthesis. EFFECT: simplified method, decreased cost. 8 ex |
