<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make exact alignment possible even with the substrate having the fluctuation in the accuracy in joining at the time of forming patterns by the formation of the large-sized substrate, the accuracy in exposure and the accuracy of etching, the dimensional change at the time of the heat treatment of the substrate, etc. SOLUTION: The upper and lower substrates are aligned and stuck to each other by using pixels 12a, 12b at the first corner among the display pixels as alignment parts, using gate electrode lines 4a, 4b and source signal lines 5a, 5b as the alignment reference on a display driving substrate side and using the apertures 8 of light shielding films as the alignment reference on the counter substrate side. Transparent pixel electrode parts 7 are used as the alignment reference on the display driving substrate side. The accuracy of sticking is improved and the degradation in the display quality, such as light leakage and degraded contrast, is prevented by the method described above. The liquid crystal display element having the high display quality is thus obtd.</p> |
