A control system for an AC motor has a regulator generating a standing field and which lets this rotate with the help of a small easily controlled DC motor, whereby the small motor sets always only one winding on the voltage to the large motor in a rotating sequence and the switching over of the voltage from one to another winding is contactless, using thyristors.
