<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a product of excellent quality by reducing the amount of flux without complicating the constitution of an equipment for degassing and removing oxides by using the nitrogen and flux blowing method. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic oscillators 12A, 12B provided on a blowing pipe 11 or in the vicinity of an outlet of the blowing pipe 11 are capable of giving the ultrasonic vibration in the vicinity of the outlet from which the gas for degassing, the flux, etc., into the molten metal 10. The number of collision of the dissolved gas in the molten metal is increased attributable to the ultrasonic vibration, small bubbles are gradually united with each other to form larger bubbles, the buoyancy is increased, and the bubbles rise in the molten metal, and finally discharged out of the molten metal to promote the degassing. The number of collision of the flux and oxides is also increased by the ultrasonic vibration, the oxide generating reaction is accelerated, and the oxides float on the surface of the molten to promote removal of oxides.</p> |
