PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the characteristics of a capacitor for a fluorescence lamp starter circuit by winding a specific number of capacitor elements and housing the elements in a container in the wound states, and then, impregnating the elements with impregnant having a high dielectric constant higher than a specific value. SOLUTION: A capacitor for a fluorescent lamp starter circuit is constituted in such a way that two wound capacitor elements A and B are housed in an oval metallic container 4 provided with a protective device. The element A is constituted by winding a piece of double-faced metalized paper and a plastic film composed of polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, etc., as an electrode and a dielectric substance, respectively. The element B is constituted by winding Al foil, etc., and the same plastic film as an electrode and a dielectric substance, respectively. Then two capacitor sections are formed in the container 4 and the lead wires 7 which become different polarities on an electric circuit are arranged on the bottom side of the container 4. In addition, the elements A and B are impregnated with impregnant 13 having a dielectric constant of >=3.5. Therefore, the characteristics of the capacitor do not change much even when the temperature changes and the reliability of the capacitor is improved. |
