Purification of contaminated water

Process for purification of contaminated water in which the water is first pretreated with ozone to produce water containing only contaminants that are not decomposed or that are poorly decomposed by ozone alone, then a preformed mixture of H2O2 and ozone is introduced into the pretreated water under elevated pressure. The mixture of H2O2 and ozone may be irradiated with ultra violet light as it is introduced into the water.
