PITCH ARRANGEMENT EVALUATION SYSTEM OF TREAD PATTERN OF PNEUMATIC TIRE

A pneumatic tire having a tread pattern of grooves formed with three different pitches in at least the tire circumferential direction. An amplitude waveform corresponding to the frequency of noise resulting from the pitch arrangement for one circumference of tire is determined by a noise simulation method, and whether the pitch arrangement determined by the noise simulation method is of low pattern noise is evaluated from a relative coefficient (R) value between the amplitude waveform and a quartic equation obtained by regression of the amplitude waveform.
