PAUSE CONTROL METHOD OF LDP

Disclosed is a method to perform a purge within a laser disk player. The method comprises steps of storing, comparing, confirming and performing. In the storing step, the data is stored in a memory when a purge key turns on. In the comparing step, current replayed data is compared with the stored data. In the confirming step, inputing two pulses of vertical synchronizing signal are confirmed. In the performing step, a pause mode of purge is performed after I track jumping by repeating the second step. Thereby, the purge operation can be accurately performed nevertheless the FG is abnormal.
