PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of accurately controlling any important weeds of monocotyledons and dicotyledon over a long period using small active ingredients by combining a substituted benzoylcyclic enone derivative with other compound having herbicidal activity. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition for paddy field is obtained by combinedly using a substituent benzoylcyclic enone derivative of formula I A is S(O)n R<1> [R<1> is an alkyl, benzyl, etc.; (n) is 0 or 2] or OR<2> (R<2> is phenyl) ; B is a halogen, an alkyl, etc.; D is H, an alkyl, etc.; E is a halogen, a alkoxy, etc.} and a compound selected from acetanilides, thiocarbamates, thioates, sulfonyltriazole-carboxamides, pyridinethiocarbamates and the other 6 kinds of compounds. The acetanilides are preferably compounds of formula II [R<3> and R<4> are each alkyl, etc.; R<5> and R<6> are each alkyl, etc.; Y<1> is a single bond, etc.] and the thiocarbamates are preferably compounds of formula III (R<7> is an alkyl, etc.; R<8> and R<9> are each alkyl, etc.). The second component is each used in a blend ratio of 0.005-50 pts.wt. based on 1 pts.wt. first component. |
