FIELD: test equipment; electro-optical tracking systems. SUBSTANCE: simulator has irradiator, heater and temperature adjustment system. Irradiator has to be a plate made of aluminium alloy, inside which thermal-electric heaters are disposed along horizontal line uniformly; heaters are filled with metal alloy. Working surfaces of heaters are covered with deep-mat enamel. Real temperature transducer is non-rigidly fixed at central part of working surface inside the groove; the transducer is made in form of a pin platinum thermosensitive element. Thyristor switch unit is attached to back surface of irradiator. Outputs of real temperature transducer and control electrodes of thyristor switches are connected with control board, inside which the temperature control unit is disposed. Temperature control unit is made in form of separate unit isolated from the network by pulse and step-down transformers. Operational circuit for constructing temperature adjustment unit is provided. The optical radiation simulator is similar to real radiators on geometrical sizes, spectrum, radiation power and distribution, which are used in open air under different weather conditions and abrupt changes in network voltage.
