The solid particles are suspended in a fluid in a supercritical or subcritical state and which at normal temperature is a gaseous state. Evacuation of the suspension fluid then takes place, and the fluid is dispersed and pulverised by atomising through a jet and inter-colliding at high speed. Pressure on the suspension fluid is then reduced and the fluid separated in the supercritical or subcritical state as a gas from the solid particles.
