Multi-layer car park system

The increased density car park system has a double-decker hoist (4) fitted into a hole in an upper floor level of the multi-storey car park. This allows two vehicles to be parked in one space. Allowance is made for the headroom above and below the floor. The double-decker frame is moved vertically by the height of one vehicle space. For a multiple system allowance is made for hoist systems on successive floors either by aligning the systems laterally or by having sufficient headroom. Another mode of control has the separate hoists linked to a master control to prevent collision between hoists on successive floors.
