METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING BLOCK PAVEMENT

A method for constructing block paving that can provide block paving which can solve problems inherent in conventional block paving, and provide an excellent appearance and a superior durability when used not only for decorative paving for sidewalks and squares but also for general heavy-traffic roadways where large vehicles run. The method for constructing block paving is characterized in that a tack coating layer is provided by spreading a bituminous emulsion on a base of a road or the like, that an aggregate layer is then formed by laying aggregates on the upper surface of the tack coating layer, further that a multiplicity of paving blocks are disposed on the aggregate layer in such a manner that the upper surfaces of the blocks are aligned with one another, and that not only is cement asphalt mortar uniformly injected from spaced joint portions formed between the paving blocks so as to fill gaps in the aggregate layer therewith to thereby form a buffering and supporting layer but also cement asphalt mortar or other injection joint material other than cement asphalt mortar is uniformly filled into the spaced joint portions so as to integrally fix the paving blocks on the base.
