The travelling rail tamper with the aggregate (14) used for alignment of the height and direction closed to the rail in the area of the crossing or the rail-switch is equipped with one tool frame at least, travelling on the rail (6) with the use at least one pair of reels containing rims. On the tool frame, there is fixed at least one reel containing rim closed to each rail, used as the directing accessory and one arresting gear (20), created as the arresting hook (16) and/or the cathing roller (15). On the rail tamper, there is placed at least one lifting accessory (21) used for lifting of the treated crossing or rail switch rail part, crosswise adjustable, or movable with the use of the drive (19) and this accessory is equipped with one arresting gear (20) at least, however the mentioned arresting gear is mounted for trapping of the punctual rail position in the area (40) related to the spur track or branch rail, using an economical procedure. The lifting accessories (21) contains the carrying frame (23) able of running on one rail, based on the rollers (22) with rim, and it is equipped with one lifting roller (42) at least, enabling side variation, which is created as the arresting gear (20).
