Seat intended for improving comfort during the use of this type of equipment, both in the home and in public lavatories, avoiding the unpleasant difference in temperature between conventional seats and the human body and improving hygiene conditions, essential in the public use of this type of installation. These objectives are achieved by means of the provision of an electrical heat source in the seat or in the latter's lid, which is controlled by an external thermostat, and the actuation, when the lid is lowered, of a device for spraying disinfectant or of an ultraviolet-ray lamp, and of a pressurized-air source for the elimination of particles, the process of conditioning the seat ending with the actuation of a device for supplying a deodorizing/fragrancing product.
