The method involves detecting and/or recovering overlaid digital signals from a superimposition signal or freeing digital signals from interference by differentiating the superimposition signal twice in a signal processor. The received signal is preferably not further sampled to provide a pulse-shape corrected and synchronized copy of the signal for further signal processing. The method preferably considers both the rising flank as well as the falling flank of the signal pulses for synthesizing the received signal to achieve a further error suppression.
