<p>This invention relates to a composition and process for controlling scale on metal surfaces exposed to aqueous systems. The composition used in the process is a synergistic mixture of (1) a first component capable of inhibiting the formation of CaSO4 scale; and (2) a second component selected from the group consisting of benzoic acid, benzene sulfonic acid, water soluble derivatives thereof, and salts thereof.</p> |
