<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good image by a method wherein a reference member which serves as a mount reference spaced a predetermined distance from a row of light emitting elements is provided in a main scanning direction in an image exposing device so that positional accuracy between an image forming body and the image exposing device and between respective devices can be maintained and assembly can be effected with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A reference member 101 comprising, for example, a semispherical protrusion, which positions a linear light emitting element 121 provided in a light exposing device 12 so as to be normal to a mount reference in an x-axis direction [main scanning direction], i.e., moving direction of a photosensitive drum 10 and parallel to the drum 10 and which serves as a mount reference to cause the element 121 to emit light in a direction normal to the moving direction of the drum 10 and parallel to the drum 10 is provided in the device 12 so as to be spaced a specified distance from the row of the elements 121 normal to the row thereof. Similarly, a reference member 102 serving as a mount reference in a y-axis direction [auxiliary scanning direction], i.e., reference for specifying reading positions of the element 121 and a reference member 103 in a z-axis direction, i.e., as a reference for disposing a self-focusing lens 12b both are provided in the device 12.</p> |
