<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an APS system in an ATM exchange network in which reliability against channel fault of the ATM exchange network can be improved. SOLUTION: A 1st equipment 10 and a 2nd equipment 10 are interconnected by a duplicate communication channel consisting of working lines(WL) 1A, 1B and protect lines(PL) 2A, 2B. Then a bridge section 3 bridging the WL1A, 1B and PL2A, 2B at the transmitter side and a switch 4 selecting the WL1A, 1B and the PL2A, 2B at the receiver side are respectively provided for the 1st and 2nd equipments. Furthermore, a control means 6 having a K-byte generating function to generate the byte information to realize the APS, a function analyzing the K-byte information from the PL2A, 2B to set prescribed information to the K-byte to realize the APS and a function of selecting the switch is provided in the equipments.</p> |
