<p>A vehicle body framing station includes tooling gate supports movable along paths towards and away from the framing station to pick up tooling gates from racks adjacent the paths and present the tooling gates to opposite sides of the framing station, and return the tooling gates to their racks to permit other tooling gates to be picked up and presented instead. In one arrangement the racks are mounted on carousels rotatable to present tooling gates carried thereon in a position from which they can be picked up by the support means for transfer into the framing station and vice versa, wherein other tooling carried by other racks on the carousels is simultaneously presented for tool change or repair.</p> |
