Manufacturing procedure for pressure rolled pipes

A pressure mandrel (1) is used for the manufacturing procedure and consists of a first mandrel (1a) fixed on the machine spindle side and a second mandrel (1b) fixed on the tailstock side. Both mandrels are detachably connected at a connection point (4) and have a taper which conforms to the desired inner thickening of the finished pipe (3). In the first working cycle the pressure rollers (2) at the connection point sink to the desired external diameter of the finished pipe and work in the machine spindle or tailstock direction. In the second cycle the roller are moved back to the connection point and work in the opposite direction.
