PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image density detecting device capable of accurately detecting the density of a color image where the density change of all the color images of respective colors Y, M, C and BK is appropriately found out in the change of sensor output. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a light receiving element 64 having sensitivity to any spectroscopic luminous flux in a wavelength area from 450nm to 1300nm, a 1st light emitting element 61 emitting light including the spectroscopic luminous flux in the wavelength area from 450nm to 560nm so that the reflectance of the respective color images of Y, M and C may be improved, and a 2nd light emitting element 62 emitting the light including the spectroscopic luminous flux in the wavelength area from 700nm to 1300nm so that the transmissivity of the color image of BK may be improved. Therefore, the reflectance of the respective color images of Y, M and C is improved concerning Y, M and C and the transmissivity of the color image of BK is improved to improve the reflectance of the transmitted light on the surface of a photoreceptor concerning BK, whereby the density of the color images of the respective colors is accurately detected. |
