PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression efficiency and durability, in a device wherein high temperature compressing heat can be effectively prevented from being transmitted to a peripheral side from a center part side of an end plate. SOLUTION: An end plate 5 of a fixed scroll 4 is formed into a large plate thickness part 5A in a center side location corresponding to about 1.5 to 2 winding turns from a winding start end (innermost circumferential end) of a lap part 6, and formed into a thin thickness part 5B in a peripheral side location positioned in a diametric direction outside from the large thickness part 5A. The large thickness part 5A is set to, for instance, about 1.4 to 1.6 times the plate thickness dimension relating to the thin thickness part 5B. Heat from each compression chamber 16 is made to escape to a side of each radiating fin 8, by decreasing thermal resistance in the large thickness part 5A of the end plate 5, and transmitting of the heat to a side of the thin thickness part 5B.
