PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid battery provided with a positive plate, which can efficiently utilize the active material and which can be charged after the over-discharge, by filling a collector with the electrode active material, which contains the required tin oxide fiber at the predetermined breaking energy, at the predetermined specific resistance and at the predetermined diameter of the circular cross section, so as to form a positive plate. SOLUTION: The electrode active material, which contains the tin oxide fiber at 1×10<-10> J or more of breaking energy, at 5×10<2> Ω.cm or less of specific resistance and at 5-50μm of mean diameter of the circular cross section, is filled in a collector so as to form a positive plate. This active material has a high corrosion resistance in the sulfuric acid aqueous solution, and a change with the lapse of time of the conductivity is not generated and deviation of crystal is not generated. A lead-acid batter provided with a positive plate, which can efficiently utilize the active material and which can be charged after the over-discharge, is thereby obtained. |
