Information encoding and transmission using multistage combination

The method involves establishing durations of periods by a counter (Z) in conjunction with an encoder (Cod) delivering a signal (A) at the start of a pulse to an electronic relay (ER1). Pulse sequences are supplied to two modulators (MO1,MO2) driven in quadrature by an AC generator (C), the outputs being added (Ad) for transmission. The multistage combination code is used together with an amplitude code, predetermined combinations being identified unambiguously by an amplitude stage with redundancy. The receiver converts the processed signal into pixels by the dither method.
