<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support the generation of commands and parameters by using at least one auxiliary window in addition to a command input screen corresponding to a conventional operation screen and to issue only regular commands which are completed to a host computer. SOLUTION: In the auxiliary window 40, parameter items to be set for print processing, e.g. 'device', 'JDE', 'JDL', are displayed as a list. An oprator inputs parameters in order while referring to the display contents. Here, when an improper value (e.g. '0' for the number of copies) is specified as a parameter, a window 71 which warns a parameter error is open on the screen and a range (1-255) which can be specified is displayed together with an error message to urge the operator to input a correct value.</p> |
