PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording fluid which has a good water resistance and can be stably delivered with a nozzle. SOLUTION: This fluid is a dispersion, in a water-base liq., of an org. pigment and colored particles having an average particle size of 50-300nm and coated with the pigment. In the process for producing an ink jet recording fluid, a dispersion of resin particles having an average particle size of 50-300nm is mixed under stirring with an org. pigment dispersion which is formed under a liq. pressure of 100-1,000kg/cm<2> by causing a dispersion formed by dispersing an org. pigment together with a dispersant in a water-base liq. to flow through or by causing a dispersant together with a dispersion formed by dispersing an org. pigment in a water-base liq. to flow through a channel having at least two deflecting sections. |
