PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchange performance and reduce the height of a substantially A-shaped air conditioner by providing a suction inlet provided in an upper surface of a casing excepting a position corresponding to a part of an upper end of the heat exchanger having smaller air flow passage resistance. SOLUTION: Suction inlets 4a, 4b provided in an upper surface of a casing 9 are provided excepting a position corresponding to a part of an upper end of a substantially A-shaped heat exchanger 2 having smaller air flow passage resistance. Hereby, the suction inlets 4a, 4b restrict an air flow to the part of the upper end of the substantially A shaped heat exchanger 2 having smaller air flow passage resistance to make uniform the air flow to the heat exchanger 2. For this, air that substantially does not heat exchange is retricted to pass through the heat exchanger 2. Hereby, heat exchange capability of the heat exchanger 2 contained in the predetermined size casing 9 is improved, and the height of the air conditioner 1 itself can be lowered corresponding to an increase of the heat exchange capability, and hence the air conditioner 1 can be miniaturized. |
