PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup capable of reproducing plural optical disks with different thicknesses by using the same optical system. SOLUTION: A 1/2 wavelength plate 13 converts read light from a light source 11 into a P polarization component or an S polarization component. The S polarization component of the read light is reflected by a planar inside mirror 14b to be converged on a recording surface of a first optical disk 1 by an objective lens 15. On the other hand, the P polarization component of the read light passes through the inside mirror 14b, and is reflected by a concave-surface outside mirror 14c to be converged on the recording surface of a second optical disk 1 by the objective lens 15. |
