摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical fiber clamp mechanism which is easily manufactured and hardly cause a shift in axis. SOLUTION: Pressure pieces 60 are inserted into respective slit holes of a fixed block 40 and a pressure member 70 which presses those pressure pieces 60 from above is mounted on the top surface of the fixed block 40. When all the pressure pieces 60 are pressed by the pressure member 70, the lower ends of the pressure pieces 60 projects from the slit holes to come into surface contact with coated optical fibers 21 supported in fixed grooves. This surface contacting presses the coated optical fibers 21 against the internal wall of the fixed grooves and the coated optical fibers 21 are surely fixed in the fixed grooves.
