The hand levers (2) are supported on opposite sides by flat toothing (5) and in relation to the symmetry axis are coupled in a thrust-proof manner. They are held together by a sprung tractive component (6). As only small tractive forces occur on opening the cutter, the tractive component and the joint bolts (3a,3b) can be kept small. With a small lifting arm (a) and a large pivot angle (phi) the tractive component and the cutting jaws (7) can be located in the same plane - e.g. in a fork head of the hand levers - without causing hindrance to each other.
