<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-accuracy coordinates input device for which no special indicator is required. SOLUTION: A sheet layer 4 is a plate member having piezoelectricity and polarized in the thickness direction. A vibration transmission board 8 is superposed on he sheet layer 4 and a vibration sensor 6 is fitted at a prescribed position on it. The sheet layer 4 is vibrated by a pulse signal generated in a sheet driving circuit 2. When the sheet layer 4 is depressed with a pen 3 or the like, vibrations are transmitted from that position to the vibration transmission plate 8 and it is detected by the vibration sensor 6. Based on delay time from the generation of vibrations to the detection, an arithmetic control circuit 1 calculates the distance between the vibration sensor and the vibration input point. This is performed on the sensors at plural positions and based on the calculated distances, the coordinate is calculated.</p> |
