PURPOSE: To provide a foreign matter-removing device capable of instantaneously burning off lightweight foreign matters, such as hair, contained in foods in a naturally sliding fall state without thermally damaging the main bodies of the foods. CONSTITUTION: This device for removing foreign matters from foods comprises a wide chute in which heat-resistant flat plates 15, 17 having each a flame-jetting port row 22' for generating the jet flame row F of a gas burner and screen nets 16, 18 having many eyes in a sieve-like state are alternately arranged, a wide chute disposed in a reverse T-shaped hook type, a sieving means, and a screen net 26 equipped with a vibrator 27 and having a function for finally discharging the treated foods 11 and a function for sieving left refuses. Therein, the foods 11 are slid and fallen on the wide chutes and instantaneously and repeatedly dived and heated in the jet flame row F to burn the foreign matters contained in the foods. The sieving means is used for separating refuses by-produced by the combustion of the foreign matters during the sliding fall of the foods. The main bodies of the foods are substantially not thermally damaged because the combustion treatment is instantaneous, and the relatively lightweight non-metallic foreign matters, such as hair, contained in the foods, can efficiently be burned. |
