PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate aliasing from a digitally sampled image by using a multi-element electronic optical sensor with plural diffraction elements arranged side by side and each consisting of a concentric diffraction element in which each element has a sensing surface to receive an incident light and each element is arranged to receive the light from the diffraction element and using a multi- element electronic optical sensor consisting a means parting plural diffraction elements within a plane close to the sensing surface of the former multi-element electronic optical sensor. SOLUTION: A fog filter (diffraction element matrix array) 10 is made up of plural diffractive elements 12 arranged side by side mutually in a matrix. Each diffractive element 12 is formed as a series of concentric grating elements (concentric diffracting elements) 14. The configuration of the matrix 2 is based on the configuration of a multi-element electronic optical sensor 18. The fog filter 10 of a package 50 having the multi-element electronic optical sensor 18 is placed in a plane in parallel with a plane of the sensor 18 by a spacer 20.
