PURPOSE: To surely display the position of only an object pattern by a simple process based on image recognition. CONSTITUTION: A position displaying method is a method to display a position by which an object pattern (m) formed in a narrow area (e) between non-object neighboring patterns (n) in the field of view (a) of a camera taking images of the object pattern m to be a standard and the non-object patterns n in the periphery of the object pattern on a substrate 1, is detected and displayed based on image recognition. A recognition window (b) to exclude the non-object patterns n is set in the narrow area e and the center of gravity and the surface area of the object pattern m are calculated in the recognition window (b) and based on the surface area data, whether the object pattern is within the recognition window (b) or not, is judged and based on the result of the judgment, the position of the object pattern (m) is corrected by the gravity data. |
