<p>PURPOSE: To prohibit the outflow of foamed scum into a final settling basin by gathering the foamed scum generated in an endless water path and crushing the scum with the head of the sewage or return sludge flowing into this water path, thereby suspending the scum in the water path. CONSTITUTION: The scum suspended on the water surface in an aeration tank having the circulating water path 1 is gathered by a scum collecting plate 6 disposed in the water surface position in this tank and the inflow sewage or return sludge flowing into the tank from the position above this gathered scum is admitted into the tank. The scum suspended on the water surface is crushed by utilizing the inflow fall.</p> |
