PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent composition having low irritation to skin, excellent in detergency, having good foaming and use feeling by combinedly using aβ-alanine-based surfactant with an ethercarboxylic acid-based surfactant. CONSTITUTION: This detergent composition contains (A) aβ-alanine-based surfactant expressed by formula I [R1 is an 8-18C (unsaturated) hydrocarbon; M is H, an alkali metal, ammonium or an alkanolamine having a 2-3C hydroxyalkyl; X is H or propionic acid residue of CH2 CH2 COOM (e.g. lauryl-β-alanine sodium) and (B) an ethercarboxylic acid-based surfactant expressed by formula II [R2 is an 8-18C alkyl, an alkenyl or an alkylphenyl; (n) is 0-20]. Furthermore, the composition is preferably obtained by blending 1-30wt.% component A with 0.5-20wt.% component B. |
