METHOD FOR COATING PIPE INNER SURFACE WITH GLASS

FIELD: oil, chemical and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing glass billet into pipe; heating with high-pressure hot air simultaneously along the whole length of pipe; pressing glass billet to pipe inner surface; simultaneously with supplying of hot air into billet channel, withdrawing air from channel defined between pipe inner surface and billet outer surface. Hot air may be supplied through succession of billets and withdrawn from channel between pipe and billets through each successive billet. Air withdrawn from terminating billet may be directed to outer surfaces of pipes. Pipe with billet may be positioned at an angle to horizontal plane. EFFECT: increased efficiency in applying corrosion-resistant coat onto inner surfaces of pipes and wider operational capabilities. 4 cl
