FIELD: preparation of fuel for burning; thermal power stations working on lower-grade coals. SUBSTANCE: divider-concentrator has housing 1 divided by transverse partitions 4 into sections 5 communicating through bypass pipes 8 consisting of upper and power parts 9 and 10 coupled at partitions 4. Lower parts 10 of bypass pipes are brought in upper parts 9 of bypass pipes forming circular clearances 15 at level of concentrated mixture discharge branch pipes 6. Overflow ports 16 are provided in upper parts 9 of bypass pipes 8 at level of their attachment in transverse partitions 4; ports 16 are shifted relative to tangential branch pipes 7 feeding the heat-transfer agent. Air mixture is supplied through inlay branch pipe 11 to upper part 9 of bypass pipe 8 of first section 5 where it is swirled by flow of heat-transfer agent fed through overflow ports 16 and separated into layers; as a result, dust ring is cut off by end of lower part 10 of bypass pipe 8. Dust is partially removed from housing through branch pipe 6 is partially recirculated inside section returning upward through circular clearances 15 and 17 to ports 16 through circular clearances 15 and 17 and is again entrapped by flow. Heat-transfer agent is sucked due to rarefaction created during motion of flow moves from lower parts 10 of bypass pipes 8 to upper parts 9 which have different diameters. During recirculation of dust, time of presence of dust in high-temperature zone is increased: coal is coked and is ground and waste drying agent and coke-oven gases are discharged through discharge pipe 12. Due to heat treatment, ground dust is delivered to burners at higher specific surface without ballast substances, thus increasing temperature and rate of its burning-out in furnace.
