<p>PURPOSE: To provide a chemical heat-generation apparatus suitable as a heat source for the quick heating of automobile, etc., capable of stably repeating the heat-generating reaction over a long period and having high heat-generation temperature and low decomposition temperature. CONSTITUTION: This chemical heat-generation apparatus is composed of a closed cycle consisting of a reactor 1 packed with an alkaline earth metal oxide, a water tank 2, a water-feeding pipe 4 to supply water from the water tank to the reactor and a return pipe 5 to return water from the reactor to the water tank. A reversible reaction of the alkaline earth metal oxide with water is carried out in the closed system. The space in the closed cycle is maintained to evacuated state.</p> |
