PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording medium excellent in water resistance, high in pigment fixing properties, excellent in transparency, performing recording of high quality and having effect such that the strength of a recording surface is restored to practical strength after recording even in non-aqueous ink using a solvent slow to dry as an ink solvent. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet recording medium comprises a base material 11 having light permeability, a transparent resin member layer 13 soluble or swellable in an ink solvent and insoluble in water and the porous member layer 12 provided between the base material 11 and the resin member layer 13 having lyophilicity higher than that of the resin member layer 13. |
