PURPOSE: To provide a rice transplanter in which a jump clutch is not shifted to cutout-side when a planting clutch is shifted to on-side. CONSTITUTION: A transmission system for transmitting a power, which is synchronized with a running speed of a running machine body, to a seedling- planting apparatus A is provided with a planting clutch C freely shiftable between an on-position and a cutout-position, and a jump clutch J for interrupting the transmission of the power when an overload is applied. At the same time, a transmission B for adjusting a running speed of a running machine body 3 can be freely set at a low-speed shifting region for a seedling transplanting work and at a high-speed shifting region for a non-transplanting work. A controlling action of a speed controlling means D is set so that the upper limit in the low-speed shifting region is restricted only when the transmission is set at the low-speed shifting region and the planting clutch C is at the cutout position.
