PURPOSE: To provide a steel pipe utility pole, which is light in weight and durable and can be easily installed manually in a breakwater or in facilities at low installation costs, as a substitute for a concrete one. CONSTITUTION: In a single steel pipe, whose weight allows manual installation, or a divided type steel pipe 1, which consists of divided parts connected to each other by means of flanges, a base plate 5 is welded to the lowermost part, while an upper blind patch 4 preventing a bird from perching is welded to the top part for the purpose of prevention of rust or corrosion due to excreta of the bird, and on the upper blind plate 4, a plurality of steel rods 3 are standingly arranged. Metal corrosion preventive material is sprayed on the whole surface of the steel pipe 1 and its auxiliary members so as to form a metallic corrosion preventive film 9 with a film thickness of 120μm or more. Via the base plate 5, the steel pipe 1 is installed on a concrete foundation 11 such as a breakwater by means of a foundation bolt (chemical bond anchor) 12, and fixing installation is carried out by means of a concrete encased part 10 around which a reinforcement wire 13 and a grout 14 are wrapped.
