Fastening clip for vehicle interior fittings having basic body and securing device

Interior fittings of motor vehicles, e.g. carpets or door linings, are fastened in place with a clip having a basic body (2) and with a securing device (3) to prevent axial withdrawal. A sealing ring (5) is provided under the basic body, pref. in a groove and bearing on a peripheral shoulder (10, 12) of the basic body, extending over a max. of 90% of the axial dimension of the sealing ring, which may be profiled with an H-section. The sealing ring is pref. made of a thermoplastic elastomer, partic. butadiene rubber. Adequate seal is formed to prevent water penetration.
