Device for measuring the topography of the tooth flanks of gear wheels

The measuring system involves a respective tooth flank (3) of the gear (1) under test which meshes in engagement with a measuring gear wheel (2). The unit for recording and evaluation determines rotation fault course (~Dphi ) occurring at the gear under test, using measuring teeth (4) of a different design at the measuring gear wheel. The measuring wheel (2) is taken down so far at the surface at its measuring teeth at the engagement teeth flanks, that raised, radially running and axially displaced measuring tracks remain. A microprocessor is provided in which the rotation fault courses are used to determine the tooth flank topography.
