<p>PURPOSE: To extremely easily obtain 3-amino-2-hydroxyacetophenone salt excellent in fluidity with small crystal bulkiness, improved in productivity and operability and useful as an intermediate for medicines by allowing sulfuric acid to act on 3-amino-2-hydroxyacetophenone or its hydrochloric acid salt. CONSTITUTION: This production process of 3-amino-2-hydroxyacetophenone comprises reacting preferably 1 mole of (A) 3-amino-2-hydroxyacetophenone or its hydrogen halide salt such as hydrochloric acid salt [e.g. a compound obtained by catalytically reducing a compound of the formula (X is H or a halogen) and, if necessary, removing the used catalyst] with 1-10 moles of (C) sulfuric acid in (B) a solvent such as an alcohol, an aromatic hydrocarbon, water, or the like.</p> |
