PURPOSE: To instantaneously judge that a vehicle is a stolen vehicle when passing through a toll gate or check barrier of a toll road. CONSTITUTION: In the toll reception device having an on-vehicle communication unit to which an IC card 6 can be connected, a roadside processor displays vehicle guide information on a roadside display plate so as to guide a passing vehicle to a manned gate and also sends theft information to the on-vehicle communication unit when judging that the passing vehicle is a stolen vehicle. The on-vehicle communication unit stores the theft information in a RAM 55 and informs people close to it that the vehicle is the stolen one with alarm sound and voice. If the stolen vehicle neglects the indication on the roadside display plate and passes through the toll gate or check barrier, ineffective information is sent from the roadside equipment to the passing vehicle and the control circuit 5 in the on-vehicle communication unit cuts part of the IC card 6 by a cutting machine 13, thereby making it possible to judge that the IC card 6 is illegally used from outward appearances. |
