<p>PURPOSE: To select a paper sheet in a direction optimum to a developed image and to perform staple operation by a method wherein control is effected in scub a manner that setting is effected to perform stapling operation and when an optimum paper sheet is selected, stapling operation is effected. CONSTITUTION: Stapling operation set by the stapling set key of a control panel part is investigated and when constant execution is set, stapling operation is executed without deciding whether it is optimum. Control is performed in such a manner that when execution only at an optimum period is set, stapling is executed only when it is optimum and when it is not optimum, the stapling is not executed. Namely, it is investigated whether single-sided printing or double printing is effected, and when single-sided printing is effected, it is decided whether an image converted by a format part 6 is a vertical long image. In which case, when it is the vertical long image, a paper sheet being short in a conveying direction is selected. Further, when an image is horizontally long, a paper sheet being long in the conveying direction is selected. It is then investigated whether a selected paper sheet is prepared and when it is prepared, a printer part 2 is started to effect printing and output papers are stapled.</p> |
