Valve drive for IC engines

The valve drive has a separate control mechanism for variable valve opening angles. The cam shaft (5) has control cams (6,7) for operating gas change valves (3,4). The cams act on a valve lever (9) through an intermediate roller element (8). Support bolts (12) connected axially loosely to the roller elements are set securely positioned in the valve levers which are relatively close together with securing heads (17) facing one another for mutual stop on one side and for stopping against valve levers on the other side. The support bolts and securing heads can be made as separate components whereby the disc-shaped heads are fixedly connected through the unhardened centre areas to the support bolts which are hardened on their outer circumference
