Airbag for inner wall of car

The airbag, in hose form, is fitted to one of the internal side walls of a car to protect the head or other part of the body in the event of a side impact. The airbag is in two parts. It has an outer part (24) in the form of hose-shaped netting or fabric, enclosing a hose-shaped inner part (22) of virtually airtight material. The inner part can be connected at the front to a gas inlet (20) but is otherwise closed. The outer part and inner part are folded together in the longitudinal direction and fitted on or in the internal wall of the car. The outer part may be a round net or may be made from a woven material cutout.
